PSG Pebble for LiFE !

LIFE stands for "Learning in Fun and Engaging Way", an after- school programme that aims to provide some creative space for Temasekians to participate in the Maker Movement.

This year, the LIFE programmes is held on every odd week Wednesday at the school library and PSG parent volunteers will be teaching Temasekians to learn handicrafts like rainbow looms,

origami flowers, ribbon works and beads making while the D&T teachers will inspire the students with LittleBits, Automata and other Makerspace fun.

PSG member Grace Tan conducted a workshop on pebble painting stone on 15th July 2015 and was well attended by Temasekians. We look forward to more of our parent volunteers joining and sharing their skills in some of the crafts with the students.

 

PSG Supporting School for Maker Faire 2015

Temasek Secondary School part icipated in the first full scale Maker Faire Singapore on 11th and 12th July 2015 at the old Qiao Nan Primary school campus located at Tampines Street.

The school provided an interested project to showcase - Augmented Reality Sandbox. The school's D&T teachers together with some students were also present at the event

Speech Day 2015 "Live" YouTube Streamcast

PSG Welcomes Our New Parents!

We have many new parents joining the PSG this morning at our Student Centre. Besides the interactive Q&A and enthusiastic sharing, we have all the fun singing and dances to accompany the good food to entertain everyone! The school is thankful to have the wonderful PSG nurturing such warm partnership and bringing in more parents to be part of it. Way to go!

PSG Dancing Mama in action for School's CNY Assembly Celebration

We are honoured to have our PSG Dancing Mamas to be presenting their performance for our Assembly CNY celebration. The mothers have put in tremendous effort practising and our students truly enjoyed their performance as all school celebrate the festivities of Chinese New Year. Thank you PSG once again for supporting the school!

PSG hosting China scholars during CNY

Our PSG Exco has been generous hosting our scholars who cannot be with their families during the festive season of Chinese New Year. This year, our PSG Vice-Chairman and Exco Mr and Mrs Gay offered their family warmth to three of our China scholars. They have a great time having Lo-Hei and eating the delicious festive goodies.

We are pleased to have our PSG joiing our festive fun in our school for the Lo-Hei Lunch. It has bcome our PSG tradition to celebrate the joy of Chinese New Year together with our staff. All our parents enjoyed the "Lo-Hei" as we wished one another a prosperous and blissful year ahead!

PSG in action for Cross-Country 2015

Our PSG team took part in our first Cross-country Orienteering Race at Pasir Ris Park this morning (18 Feb). Our PSG parents formed a team and made it to the finish line with excellent timing! PSG in Makerspace in Temasek (MiT) -- First LiFE session to Learn in Fun and Engaging way!

LiFE stands for "Learning in Fun and Engaging way", an after-school programme that aims to provide some creative space for Temasekians to participate in the Maker Movement as the school recently built the Makerspace in Temasek (M.i.T). 

This year, our LiFE programmes is held on every odd week Wednesday at our school library where Temasekians will like the quiet environment to learn and interact. In this creative learning workshop series, Temasekians can come and learn simple creative handicraft and “making” from our PSG parents and D&T teachers. 


In the LiFE Makerspace Wednesday, our PSG parent volunteers will be teaching Temasekians to learn handicrafts like rainbow looms, origami flowers, ribbon works and beads making, while our D&T teachers will inspire the children with LittleBits, Automata and other Makerspace fun.

On 3rd February 2015, our first LiFE session kicked off with our parents teaching our students Origami!

PSG in Principal-Meet-Parents Session 17 Jan 2015

Our PSG members today hosted our new Sec 1 parents for tea, and later Sec 3 parents at AVT after their parenting talk during the first Principal-Meet-Parents (PMP) session. Everyone looked great wearing our new PSG T-shirts for the first time! 

At the end of the PMP, the PSG is proud to see so many parents signing up to join our big happy family!
