15 Feb 2008

PSG organised a  sumptuous Chinese New Year special luncheon for TMS’ foreign scholars on 15th
February 2008. The spectrum of foreign scholars came from China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

PSG members prepared many colourful and multicultural dishes such as seafood nasi goring, fried noodles, spring rolls, onde-onde and honey sea coconut. The food was well received by the scholars as to some of them, it was a whole new experience.

The event also boosted the morale of  the scholars. “The effort made by the parents to make Chinese New Year meaningful to us is much appreciated” said Athit Chanthalath, a Laotian scholar.

PSG members are much cheered on by the joy that they had brought to the foreign scholars and it will definitely continue to liaise with the school to hold such events for the scholars in future.

Ms Pamela Yoong, Vice Principal was pleased with the efforts made by PSG to organise this lunch for the scholars and praised its kindness towards the foreign scholars. She said “ We are very proud of the parents of our school.  Our school motto is ‘We Care’ and our parents have truly exhibited the spirit of Temasek as they demonstrated their love by preparing home-cooked dishes for our foreign students at the Chinese New Year special luncheon to welcome them to Singapore”.
