It was held on the 7th of November to mark the end of yet another fruitful year for the Parent Support Group. The Principal, Mrs Ong and Vice-principal, Mr Ari, together with a number of teachers changed into their sports attire and joined in the fun and games for a truly memorable day!

The Sports Captains (SC) from Sec 3 led by student Ho Li Xuan from 3/5 took pains organising a string of games for the event. The adults were divided into groups and competed against each other. Keeping in mind some of the ‘not so in-shape’ parents, the SC kept it to a not too strenuous level, which the parents were grateful for.

More games followed; such as transporting beans from a bowl at one end to another using chopsticks. I was sure there were more beans on the ground then in the bowls! Next up, running with balloons that were blown and placed between the backs of two participants, which was then dropped into a trash bag. Parents and teachers alike worked together as a team. The camaraderie was apparent.
The following Dog-n-Bone segment showed up some nifty moves by the teachers and parents albeit a couple of spills here and there. I had stitches in the stomach from laughing so hard! The games ended about 2 hours later with the popular Musical Chairs. The SCs made it more challenging for the last few standing by placing balloons on the chairs which they had to sit on and burst. The eventual winner for this segment was Mr Dennis Lee, Treasurer of PSG Committee.
Everyone present then headed to a sumptuous spread catered for us at the canteen. Mr Jared Oh, Head of Department for Pupil Development said, “It was enormous fun playing games with both staff and parents. We enjoyed it not only because the activities were great but because of the warmth and care that was clearly there in the Temasek gathering. More good times!” Indeed.
Our Big Thank You goes to all the Sports Captains who made this event a success.
