Diary of a Parent Mentor ( LeaderCIP )

2/7 Wed 448pm

Today I attended the first of eight session of Leader CIP with students from class 3-7, and 3-8.

Mr Chandra explained the objectives of the programme:

Students were moved by his stories ..

We followed our passion and formed a few groups. I joined the 'Help the elderly' group.

Vanessa, facilitator from Halogen Foundation prompted group discussion :

And the discussion in my group was quite fruitful .. I found interesting and mature individuals giving good ideas:

At my suggestion, we decided to set up a project team consisting of

Group Leader ( Overseeing all progress )
Assistant Leader ( also timekeeper )
Secretary / Resource Manager
Treasurer
Creative director
Operating manager / Logistic

My hope is that each leader of the different aspects in this project will have an opportunity to lead in discussion, give full display of his/her unique strengths and hone their management skills.

May they grow through these eight weeks of LeaderCIP programme- not just in the capacity of heart, but also in their capability to lead, serve and inspire others to care for the less fortunate, and the environment.

Respectfully,
Anna
